The previous owner of my car drilled four holes in the spot welds on the front underside my the hood and I have attached the picture (these used to be the snap locations).

I asked the shop to hit them with the welder and then I planned to sand and paint them. However, they are worried about the heat of the weld causing paint issues on the top of the hood (and that is in good shape).

Besides welding, what other options would be a good permanent fix? Bondo for the holes is out of the question.

When you buy the all-metal make sure you get the reactor-hardener with it.

I assume any area you use it needs to down to bare metal?
