how is your molding ?
are you doors properly alined ?

Now thats an adjustment problem! Personally, I bought a convt maintenance book from mustangs unlimited. It talks about all that good stuff on adjusting and the sort. Perhaps try an internet search on the subject if your not interested in buying anything.

Is there a lot of play in your quarter windows? I had to rebuild the motor on my passenger side window a couple years back. The dealership had the two plastic bushings the metal rod the window rides up and down on. I replaced those and re-greased everything. I still have to do the drivers side quarter. LMR now sells a rebuild kit that includes the plastic bushings and the metal bases the rod goes in too. If you do go this route, rebuild the window motor gear. Any auto parts store should sell the 3 rubber bushings that fail in them over time. Along with the great info from Masshole, you should be all set.

hello 5.oh;

it might be better to start your own thread, you might get more responses but i'm not sure.

anyway, yeah just loosen it and put it where you want then simply tighten it back up. unfortunately this process can take a few hours, lol.

if you just had a new top put on and the windows are very far off you might have enormous difficulty getting them to line up and might need the top loosened up or redone.

it might help to explain why yours no longer lines up.

Thanks 67cpe. It's an old top and I'm just doing weather stripping. I'm from mustang evolution but that site was lame. Same stuff everyday. Any who, the top was leaking from the weather stripping being formed pretty much to the window so it wouldn't seal. When I put the new stuff on it out a gap in between the top and the window due to the front of the window getting stuck On the windshield strip.. I'll have to work some magic. Thanks a lot again!!

Lame lmao3.gif rofl.gif you mean like "YOU" posting on Mustang Evolution saying that have shock in the front of your 91 and everyone there trying to tell you that you have struts in the front and not shocks....... talk about lame.

I have a 91 stang, well everywhere i look it says the front has struts for replacement shocks. my car has shocks, not struts. i even go into an argument with a guy from napa cause he said they have struts when i was looking at them. Wondering if anyone else has this problem? and what the shock number is so i can get two replacements cause one is leaking and they suck.

I didn't say the people where lame. I'm interpreting that there was never nothing new and every time I tried looking something up that I needed help on there was never anything on mustang evo that would help. It always sent me to other forums when I did it on sploogle.

You helped me out alot, I got the rite parts and it feels better. Once again not saying the people where lame, the forum was.
