Today I installed my Hurst Short throw shifter, ordered from Brenspeed. Great company by the way.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the help from the website clarifying which way the long part of the shift assembly went. The hurst manual on page 1 said Drivers side, and Page 3 said Passenger side, totally contradicting itself.
So for anyone installing it themselves, or thinking of it, I have almost zero hands on experience doing much with cars and I was able to complete it in about an hour and a half (not including time to jack up the car).
Tools needed were a 13mm socket (deep works best) a 10mm socket (deep again) and a 10mm wrench. I used a 10mm Gearwrench for the front bolt to the transmission, I dont see how any kind of socket would fit in the small space.
Any questions let me know, I can give good pictures that I took!!
