I backed into my house and scrapped my bumper.
It has brown paint marks and went down to the black plastic in a few spots.

What would you do?
A) Take it to a body shop?
B) Use compound and touchup?
C) Use bug and tar remover and touchup?

Any other ideas besides learning how to drive/park?

You could try to buff it out but looking at the pics, not everything will go away. I would take it to a few places and get some estimates.

Take it to a body shop. It is in the paint. Compound won't remove the marks, and touch up will look like crap.

Yah, I'd go ahead and cut your losses and have a shop do it. Sorry for your flub! There seems to be a lot of that going around lately.:bigthumbsup

Don't feel too bad. A few years ago, a friend of mine had just put in a brick and concrete porch all by himself, and he was really proud of it. Not a week goes by, and his wife backed their brand new Accord into it, and did about the same (or more) damage to the bumper cover.

The worst part was, he was out there waving his arms, yelling "Stop, stop!" and she kept giving it gas because the car wasn't moving!

First, dont do that...it is always a pain in the butt.

Second, I feel ya entirely. I was moving my truck over in the driveway when my hardwood floors were delivered and I forgot about my trailer hitch and I backed in to house with the hitch...did not hurt the truck, but sure did put a grapefruit size hole on my stucco wall.

In regards to your issue, first try rubbing compound, if that fails, it is body shop tim. BTW, it is likely you will not be able to tell the wife (or significant other) that you are the better driver...lol

if the house and car are insured by the same place, you can save paperwork, and, claim the house hit you and maybe get it fixed for the 100.00 comp fee :gringreen your gonna need a body shop :so

I used some bug and tar remover and it got off all the brown paint. There is still some black plastic that needs some paint. Thanks for all the replies, even the funny ones.
