I have a 1996 Mustang GT. The shop told me that my valve spring is broken and they need to pull the engine to fix it and it will cost 2000 dollars. Well I wasnt to happy so I called my uncle who is a well known mechanic in Ohio. He said they are trying to pull one over on me. Becuase the intake valve is still connected to the spring and did not drop down into the cylindar. Does anyone have some advice for me or know of any good mechanics in southern missouri?

It would depend on why you broke a valve spring. If it was over-revved, that is a whole different story.

You can pressurize the cylinder, and remove then broken spring and replace it. It takes about 10 minutes.....

for that 2k you can do a full pi swap and have plenty left over. or do get some ported heads and cams. food for thought
