I have a purple mustang!

DuPont Chromalusion to be precise. A very pricey paint job ($7K) done right (engine bay, pulled dash, brake calipers, etc). I bought it at a great price and with a 351 stroker, 88 T-bird rear end w/discs and a built up tranny, however I'm just not a fan of the solid purple. Was thinking twin black racing stripes down the middle. Any other suggestions that don't involve a sandblaster?

If the color was a much deeper shade of chromalusion it would look alot better.Imo.

I like it...different shades between purple and green is neat, but I wouldn't have paid $7K for it myself. Repainting would be a MAJOR monetary undertaking. I'm thinking of pin/racing stripes here. Perhaps Saleen or if I could get the Mach 1 graphic for a FB that would be sweet. Black racing stripes with black rims???

I'm a BIG fan of brake-dust colored rims!!!

looks sweet ... i would go a step further and paint the inside of the wheel tubs jet black

That'll go down the "to do" list a tad far. Lots of other mods that need to be done & budgeted prior, such as MM K-Member + A-Arms which could cause rubbing there with the forward offset.

I didn't think purple would be a cool color but that is very nice.That sucker must fly too!

I'm painting mine now and was just looking at that chameleon paint. Its like 400 for the kit.Not bad. Add some gloss black stripes or graphics on the side and it will look sweet.

I wouldnt be caught dead with that paint on any car I own, cant stand that chamelion stuff, good idea on changing it! On a side note love the car, I nice clean vert, you just cant beat the look :bigthumbsup

Real men drive purple cars...or green...or whatever the heck that color is. If you don't like it, you can just move a few feet to the right or left! I'm warming up to it, but racing stripes (something to break up this color...it's starting to mess with my head) are needed.

Racing stripes (lemans stripes) are so 1993, dont make another mistake :yup:
