Hi everyone :wavey

I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I haven't had this much fun driving in a long time :) I got a Black 06 GT premium, Automatic with the Shaker1000 :eyebulge: .

Here's some pics....

I wanted to post sooner, but I just sat back and read more about my new baby  . While reading and doing some research I have become very intriuged about adding a few mods to it. From what I read here and other places, good starting points are CAI & exhaust. Now by doing research on those, I've become blurry-eyed and my head won't stop spinning with all the different brands/choices. If I could get your feedback, that would be great!! :thumbsup

Here's the CAI I was looking at.... http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/2734.shtml

Now the exhaust, I'm looking for quality, longevity with a deeper, louder sound than my stock exhaust. I was looking at these, but I'm not sure... http://www.allfordmustangs.com/reviewpost/showproduct.php/product/506/sort/2/cat/9/page/1

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I will be also tinting the quarters and back. Also looking at some 18" rims....but that'll probably happen in a month or 2. :)

Welcome Ray to the AFM board! Congratulations on your new '06 GT and your FIRST post! Welcome! The last five new cars I bought were black and I loved them all gussied up and ready to make a bold entrance everywhere I went...then I got old, weak and lazy... My last two have been Red! I envy that Black.. Keep her sharp at all times....(builds up them muscles too!):worship

Thank you all for the warm welcome :) ! I had to get my sports car before I became too old, weak & lazy :winks :gringreen . After seeing the '05s come out, I knew I must get one as soon as possible! It makes going to work even fun. nghtrnnr is correct....the weather here allows you to drive it whenever you want :) ....which is all the time.

Now, I have even more decisions to make in terms of exhaust.:eyebulge: Been researching The SLP and the JBA since you guys posted. It looks like JBA has a V8 3" Exhaust System w/ 3.5" rolled lip tips "coming soon". Not sure what kinda performance advantage it has over the 2.5" but it sounds like something worth looking into. Been also looking into the SLP's and they look nice as well....Hmmm, decisions, decisions....

You should join the San Diego Mustang Club (SDMC). Its a good group, you can get some nice tips and info on club discounts.

If you're interested let me know.

ok, about that topic....Im sure I DONT want a Civic now....Im really leaning towards a Mustang, but my brother has just advised me to look into BMW's too. I really want a mustang, but it can't hurt to check the local BMW dealer now can it?
