Hi guys,

This guy is claiming that he has a Australian complete motor and before I snatch it up I want to really make sure I am not getting duped. The numbers he gave me were as follows:

D2AE-CA6H18 on engine

and

JG37TM91968K on cylinder head

 

[1978CobraII]

D2AE-CA is 72-74 2 Bolt main block

Those are Serial Numbers on the Heads.
J stands for Ford Australia, G stands for the Broadmedows plant
They look like Aussie heads but it may not be a whole Aussie engine.

These guys should be able to help you better than us.

Cool, thanks for your help. I emailed the guy you referred me to and I hope he gets back to me soon.

So I picked up the engine and everything matches up. It does have the Aussie 2v heads.
