I must vent my anger...looking for moral Support..
Ok if you look in my sig youll see roush spoiler and louvers...well I got them in...yay...right...nope, the middle section was damaged so roush sent me another...yay right...nope...took them to the body shop here on base, went to pick them up today and wanted to cry..
Every single piece had huge nipple like drips and so much sand and dust in the paint and clearcoat!!!! They looked absolutly horrible:sterb: No amount of wet sanding would get rid of that Sh!T. He said he would try to reshoot them, but i didnt want it to happen again, so i took my parts and ran.
Now i am gonna go to a more professional body shop and hope they dont [email protected]#$ it up. but now i probably have to pay more to have to paint removed. IM SO MAD I COULD SPIT NAILS. I must go before i break my computer or something. Any comments to help calm my nerves would be helpful.

Well that was elaborate.... Ill have to remember that.... What do you guys think I should pay for the louvers and wing... There is a body shop i talked to today that just had a older shelby restoration in a mustang magazine...dont know which one, but he quoted me anywhere from 450 to 600 for both. is that reasonable?
And yes I am happy I have one of the coolest cars on base, every gate guard that lets me in says, your 20 and you can afford that?? Im 43 and I still cant..lol.... I get a lot of comments, but these pieces will help separate me from the crowd and I want them on so bad.... Patients really is a great virtue.

What are the imperfections that are you unhappy with?... On the plus side of this, the parts are already painted black and I was not charged... Its possible that a body shop can wet sand them and buff them and make it look right cause they didnt do that yet.... Anyone know?

Would u suggest I take it to ford and have them wet sand the job I had done already do get the dust specs and runs out? or should I have them strip it down. The only thing Im afraid of is taking it to them and them saying "yeah we'll strip it down and repaint it" and then all they do is wet sand and buff the pieces and still charge me like 600 Bucks.

I dont have it yet, but know somebody that does. LOOKS Awsome, If you dont have it lowered now or too much your fine. I do have the roush spioler and louvers and i cringed watching them drill into my car for the side pieces. As long as you plan on keeping it there then no worries. If you think you might eventually take it off then I would do it. Looks great and the price IS RIGHT.... COME ON DOWN!! lmao

I all of a sudden feel better! thanks! and sorry about your situation. I finally got all parts repainted and paid 600 for spoiler and louvers with install. Ill post pics later. Hope everything works out for you.

Get this..... the body kit is painted the wrong color of white! ( a Ford dealership got the color wrongf on their own car?)
The installer new it was the wrong color and installled it anyway, and did a really crappy install. The thing is made out of urethane and is very flexible, needless to say it does not fit right out of the box, or else they deformed it during the paint process. it needs some TLC to get it to hug tight in all places. And now a custom color shop wants $7000 from the Ford dealer to repaint and reinstall the kit.
The dealership is wanting his guys to repaint it again and then the custom shop will charge $2200 to reinstall the kit. (of which he is hinting I pay part of???)
I am about ready to can the whole thing and ask for a refund, but i really like the kit alot!
I can't decide what to do....I know it will look good when they are finished or else I will put my old bumpers on and go home w/ a full refund (yeah right)
I have a feeling this will get ugly before it gets finished.
What kit do you have, can you post some bigger pics? thanks
