First post here and would appreciate all the help I can get. I have a 1998 4.6L V8 Mustang GT. It has all of the classic symptoms of a faulty cam shaft position sensor. In fact, that's also what the computer has coded as well. I have heard it is not a hard fix to replace the Camshaft position sensor. The part is cheap, so I just need to know the steps to change part/where camshaft position sensor is located (novice)/ and what tools I will need. I hope someone can help me with this. It seems like a common problem and I hope its something that I can fix. In advance, thanks!!!
Welcome to the site!! Do the alt. check first^^. The cam sensor is behind the p/s reservior on the drivers side.Take the reservior bolts loose and move it aside, then remove the cam sensor bolt and pull it out.
