Ok, im racing a 2004 grand prix gt tomorrow afternoon. ive havent got a chance to do anything to my car except a quick axelback exhaust. he has no mods and that series 3 3.8L. do i stand a chance in my 4.0? its an auto. this is going to be my first real race. not just some stop light stuff. any advice or do i stand no chance...?

the gt has a curb weight of 3484 and 200hp stock with the 3.8l motor and a lower gear ratio im sure you can beat him if his gt is stock

0-60 = 6.5

1/4 = 14.9


but from what i understand the s197 4.0s run mid 15s...so im not sure

*update*

Alright, i won the race but it was very close. i only won by about 2 lengths. we went to this deserted road by our houses. we live like 5 minutes from each other. we lined up and then we took off from the dig. he got a slight jump on me, but once i hit second gear my car just started flying! my adrenaline has never pumped so much. lol. overall im pleased. thanks for the support.

Yeah i want more mods but i need money first. lol
he said his car has no power from a roll so i think i could smoke if if we did that. lol. i feel better now.

i know. i had a 2000 grand prix gt before i got my stang. and it wasnt bad from a roll, but it wasn't nearly as quick as my mustang. so i dont know.
