so i have had problems with the spout to adjust the timing on my 5.0. when i plug it in, it idles roughly and wont stay alive, but it runs fine with it out. after doing some reading and some deeper looking under my hood, i realized that my harmonic balancer is way out of wack, it spinning all roughly... does this directly effect my problem? iv heard that it could be twisting my crank shaft, therefore shaking my valvetrain, and ultimately scattering the timing. Another question is: whats the difference between a harmaonic dampener and a balancer?
