I think I have a big problem!

I think I have a big problem. I have been running my Brenspeed tunes for a few years now and when the time comes to put my car away for the winter I return my ECU to stock. I fill the tank with 93 and stabil and park it. For the past 3 years I have had no issues until now. After I cleaned it for storage I plugged in my SCT tuner and “returned to stock”… the car will not start! Turns over but will not fire. I reloaded my 89 tune and she fires right up. Tried it again, returned to stock and again same problem. Can my stock tune be corrupt? How and why? My SCT tuner is in a protective case, never in the sun, never wet, never abused! I’m puzzled!
Before you ask, here’s my setup… Roush CAI, Steeda Under drive pulleys, Magnaflo high flow cats with X pipe and Roush mufflers.

Why do you return it to stock for storage ?
Put your stock intake back on and try it again
I return to stock because from my experience my tunes don't like the fuel with the stabil in it. In the spring I used to drive until the tank is empty.

As for the cai, I've had that for 5 years and never had a problem with it running on the stock tune.
I doubt you stock tune is corrupt. Have you updated your tuner lately?
If nothing has changed, why would I need an update?
I have not seen nor heard of that before BUT we can make you a stock tune file to load in one of your custom tune slots. That will get you taken care of for your storage and burning out your stabil next spring. I am assuming from your post you have the Roush CAI with the insert in as you did not mention removing the CAI. If you are running the CAI with the insert out you will need to put that back in to get the car to start with the OEM tune (or put the stock intake back on). You can send an e-mail to [email protected] to get the stock file. Paste this post into the e-mail along with your name and SCT serial number so we can get you taken care of.

Store with tank empty

Come spring fill tank with fresh fuel

Drive
Thanks Brenspeed! I'll be in touch this week. How many slots are avail in the sct? Will I have to lose one of my tunes?

And yes, I run the cai with the insert.

You wouldn't. Sometimes the updates can cause problems. It looks like Brenspeed has the answer.:bigthumbsup

SCT holds 3 so you will need to replace 1 of them.
