i have traction problems lol cars keeping up until i lock up and then im gone but i want to totally destroy there cars so its no question so i was wondering if anybody good give some good tire advice i want nitto but im not going to use those for everyday driving just for the track any suggestions :?:
I love my BFGoodrich g-force sport. It is an excellent daily driver tire. It might not catch up with the BFG KDW regarding dry traction but it is definitely close to its performance. The advantages are hydro resistance and wet traction, trade off is dry traction compared to the KDW.
Where to buy: tirererack.com sells the g-force sport for $106 each (245/45 17).
IMHO this makes it a perfect daily driver tire with lots of traction and great handling for the little races. And at 106 bucks each you don't really feel guilty if you do a little burn out...
I run Nitto Extreme NT555s all the way around. They run very smooth at top speed (146mph). For the (drag) track, I prefer the Nitto Drag Radials, but they are used on the stock 17x8 rims as they are lighter than the street racing Zennetti rims *(18x8.5 up front, 18x10rear). Experiment with the tire pressure too.
TOYO PROXES 4'S 265 45 17 on all four.. BUT NOT $200 A PIECE....$160 APIECE.....great tires for wet dry or any kind of driving...hook up real well,,,,on and off the track..
