·Basically this thread is a continuation of this thread.Got an email that my MGW is on the way to the house.
As bad as I want it installed, I still want to make a few more bone stock passes. I'm just hoping for a night or two with around -500 DA. If I can get a 12.7X time slip before December, then I will get it installed and see what I can do through April. Once April gets here, our days of negative DA are just about over till next November.

Well, I went shopping today at American Muscle (AM). Free delivery, no tax, and immediate delivery is something I can easily live with.
What I quoted above still goes. I want a better bone stock time slip so I will hold off on these mods for awhile.
1. MGW shifter is in the UPS system right now, should be here soon. The reason for the shifter is that I've read many times how bad the OEM is and how great the MGW is. I haven't had problems with the shifter yet, however I want the best shifter I can get for the money spent, and this one seems to be the 'one'. I had to order this from MGW as there is no middle man. I will keep my stock shift knob to make it look as stock as possible.

From American Muscle this mod and the #3 mod below.
2. Due to significant wheel hop, it seems that lower control arms are the best bet, without drag radials or slicks, to solve this problem. Most reviews and threads claim this part to really work well. I talked to two different persons at AM and this seems to be the best quality lower control arm for the price.

3. I feel like such a newbie that I can't seem to get a good burnout to warm the tires up in this manual transmission car. I guess I just get in a hurry and I really don't want to look bad in front of a bunch of people trying to get a burn out. With an auto I can do a John Force burnout with the best of them, but not in this car. Some may think I'm throwing away $200, but it is what it is. At this point I need help warming up or even cleaning off the tires. From talking to the guys at AM, it seems this line lock is the best bang for the buck and (supposedly) as good as the more expensive one.

Like I stated, I will hold off until January to get these parts installed. I want to make a few passes in some -DA and see what kind of time slips I will get.
Right now, the mod I need most of all is presently typing this post. The driver mod, but I'm learning as I go.
