Its 102 here and my car is not idleing properley the rpm needle is not steedy its very choppy at idle almost like it has a cam but it doesnt and it only does it whem its really hot ANY THOUGHTS would be greatley appreciated
Start with the PCV system. Any leaks even a tiny one is going to cause problems. Remember that the PCV system is a giant controlled vacuum leak.
Next, check the throttle return spring. Does it close the throttle fully?
Have you adjusted the TB idle stop in an attempt to fix this? Do you have an aftermarket TB? If so, have you adjusted the idle set screw per the manf recommendations?
Then check the throttle linkage for play or slop. What we are looking for is the butterflys to be flexing under engine vacuum. The motor starts to die and the vacuum goes up. This releases the TB butterflys thus allowing more air to enter. Cycle repeats.
Also check all vacuum lines for rot or other issues.
