I have an '86 Ford Mustand LX V6 not the 5.0...she is idoling at right above 0rms then if I give her a little gas she starts idoling really rough like my RPMs are every where on the charts and my engine is rocking and jumping really bad...my dad and I changed the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and roter...ANY IDEAS...I really don't want to have to sell her she is my first car and i have put quit a bit of money in to her since i have had her

The first step is to head down to the local auto parts store and have them read the stored 'check engine light' codes.

Post those right away.

If the idle is rough, the first thing that comes to mind is a vacuum leak. ...but there can be so many.
