Hi everyone!

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on some things that came in my inner tie rod box.

I've been reading that some tie rods have a sliding/roll pin that you insert to keep the inner tie rod in place --> but these small clips look nothing like that, also, there's no hole or slot on the actual inner tie rod that I can see these would possibly go into.

I happen to buy these from AM, the brand is MevoTech, and I was able to find a picture off the manufacturers website of the small black clips (it's in the picture on the right): Details

I would like to install these soon, but after seeing these in the box I just want to double check i'm not missing something.

Oh and I drive an '04 V6 :).

Any help would be great, thanks a lot!

They are pins that are used to secure the tie-rods to the rack....Its not vehicle specific and only used if the tie rods have the holes for them to fit into...I always use some loc-tite on the threads of the new tie-rods and that is generally enough to keep them in place...Good luck!

Thanks TerryProTech!

I would have to agree - i just thought it was odd that it was in the box when the tie rod they gave didn't even have a spot to put them in.

BTW, do you recommend red or blue locktite for the inner tie rod? I've seen write ups using both...

Thanks!
