Browsing through the Ford accesories website, I did not see the kit that lights up the cupholders for my '06 GT. I know Ford offers it for the '08 Mustang, but is this something that can be added to my year?

i was actually thinking about doing that but hooking up lights under the dash and some were in the back seats for the floors.

Before I get laughed it they will be white lights and so I have more light in the car to find stuff in it. Like if i drop a french fry in the middle of the night and I have to find it.

Or how many of you have had to get a flash light to find keys you dropped in the back seat.

The application shows 08 only but, I have seen some accessories retro fitted to earlier applications. Looking at the installation instructions it looks to be possible to install in earlier Mustangs back to 05. I am not positive I'd have to have my installer check it out. I tried to add a attachment of the file but, it's 2.79mb, too big to upload.

The center console is different in the 2008's, isn't it? The cup holder is offcenter more towards the driver I *think* which provides extra room for the button to switch between the colors. I'm pretty sure about this because it was one of the first things that caught my attention when I drove one...

If you're near a dealership, peek in one and see. If that's the case, you may have to get the whole center console piece if you want it exactly like the 2008 models.
