Personally I would say that if you are asking this question seriously then you should really be having someone else install them.

Putting racing stripes on takes a bit of talent and if you've never done it before then you're probably going to screw it up, especially if you don't have any real pointers from the pros.

Think about it before you rush into doing it yourself. You could probably get them installed by a pro for $50 and have it look really nice. Or you could try to install them yourself, have it look ****** and end up peeling them off which would be a waste of a couple hundred dollars.

Your choice.
Beware of bubbles.....
just finished installing them they came out awesome in my opinion there slate mettalic on an 06 black stang. just one question should i apply wax to them like as if they were part of the car or i read somewhere els to apply armor all on them to keep them shiny

You can wax them. Found that Turtle Wax Ice liquid works best. Prevents waxy build-up at the edge of the stripe.
I was at the car-wash the other day..the one where you do it yourself, and noticed with the high-pressure sprayer that it made a bubble in my white vinyl racing stripe in the front and tore a tiny bit of it off. You just have to be careful.
i do have one more question i also read somewhere not to use rainx products because it can lift the adhesive of the stripes would this include washer fluid to because as far as i can tell it wouldn;t come into contact with any edges of the stripes thanks again i will try and post pictures once it is nice here in new york so i can wash the car i got the green pollen crap all over it :thumbdown
