intake recall came in the mail

i got a letter saying that if my intake is leaking on my 99 then theyll fix it. but if its not i might be charged a fee if they find nothing wrong and if its not at the front of the manifold its not covered. also my antifreeze is going down but i don't see it leaking at the front. its driving me crazy. they said 96 thru 2002 its a 7 year recall so i asked what about the 96 guys she didn't know. when i turn my heat on theres a thud about every minute sounds like the flap going from defrost to heat is not flipping fully then trying to again. i dunno how that could effect the coolant. my thing runs out aug 06 and i only have 60 k's on the car. has anyone had theirs go this early? thanks, oh i'm in canada.
