When I searched for my 11 there were plenty of 3.73 Mustangs available but all were premiums. I gave up and got a base gt and regeared it.
All Canadian GT coupes come stock with 3.55s, can't get the 3.31s if you wanted them.i have a 2012 GT/CS and it has 3.55 gears, it was dealer ordered i got it back in march, but i think it might be one of the differences between the canadian and american markets...not sure, guess i was just lucky
It IS worth the wait. I think it is hard to find a base with 3.73s because its the best bang for the buck and are being snatched up for $27k instead of the premiums with fluff for $31k+.I had to order my car to get a base 5.0 with 3.73s and Brembo, there weren't any in ANY color in the surrounding areas, much less in a color I wanted. But it will be worth the wait :kooky:
found the exact car i was planning to order about a year ago. base mustang, performance white, brembos, 3.73s. it was actually in transit to the dealer. signed the papers and the car came about a week later. It IS worth the wait. I think it is hard to find a base with 3.73s because its the best bang for the buck and are being snatched up for $27k instead of the premiums with fluff for $31k+.
Could be, although he said this is a fairly new policy by Ford. I searched Dealers from Pa/Oh/Wv and found only one car but didn't want a Black/Black car and it was $38,000 and I was looking for a base model with 3.55 or 3.73 gears. Trying to keep the price down with 2 kids in college. Thanks for all the responses!I bought my BASE GT with Brembos and 3.73s right off the lot. Sounds to me like the dealer is giving you a load of b.s. simply because he doesn't have one.
