I've been driving my GT500 many time in the last 2 months (about 2200 miles on the odo), and I do have a problem since the last week.
When I drive the car, the soundsystem is working perfect at first, but after few minutes driving the car, it starts to have some interferences coming out the speakers. I made many tests, and this interference sounds like a very high frequency, and is coming from all speakers, what ever the volume is high or low, this interference keeps the same level. I played with the balance / fade, and this interference kept coming out from all speakers, still together at the same level. I switched off my Iphone (to avoid bluetooth interference or GPS), and the interferences stays....The only way to stop it is to shut off the radio completely.
Any idea where that comes from ?
I do have a tracking system installed on my car since the first 2 weeks. This system consist of 5 very tiny transmitter located at many places on the car (no one should no where exactly), does this might me the problem ? Also I noticed this interferences starts last week after a specific rides, where I made a brutal acceleration with tires burning. Maybe I've broken something ?
My sound system is the base Skaker 500 w/o GPS.

There is a constant noise coming out of mine as well. It may not be the same you are describing as mine is all the time. I have the am/hd radio with sirius and jukebox and nav. The noise is only annoying when things are quiet. For some reason the mfg decided not to turn off the tuner when using other inputs/modes. Mine is just the radio bleeding through to the amp and the amplitude does not change with the volume control.

In fact, if I stop the engine, interferences stop completely.....so it happens only when the engine is running, not when the radio is supply by the battery only.
And by the way my tracking system is notrunning on the car's battery. It has it's own battery.

the frequency varies yes, but not from engine's RPM but from something else.....

tracks are very small transceivers, the size of a big pills so I doubt they have to be grouded, but not 100% sure...

Why don't you record it and post it so we can help ID the noise.
At least we might be able to tell you where to start to look. Tracking down noises can be trying but not impossible. I could be a ground loop and coming up a physical wire, but more than likely its RFI. One way to troubleshoot is to start shutting down non essential systems to see if you can peg what circuit the offender it is on.

Does Ford cover things like that on the typical warranty? Or is that one of the things that aren't covered after the first 12 months?

idk how accurate this info is, but a friend of mine has a 2011 gt500 which is on its way to being into the last 2011 super snake.

he hasn't complained of any interference levels, but i did learn today that the supercharger doesn't kick in at its full potential (if at all) until about 20 key starts.. which could explain why it is now happening instead of always being there.

now that whole idea about the sc doesn't make sense too me, other then for some sort of break in period, but even still that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it is possible

What's the Link between breaking up period and my interferences problem ?

Bottom line: hope the warranty cover this type of irregularity otherwise what's the point of a warranty ?

Hey brycerichert,

The radio system is covered under the New Vehicle Limited warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles.

Thanks Deysha, yesterday I was at the dealer to install brand new front tires under warranty (the OEM ones had permanent flat spot), and I had the technician to listen that interference's noise. He gaves me an appointment July 11th as I will be in vacation at this moment.

He suspect something wrong with the sounds system's amplifier, or maybe a part of the alternator (condenser)as the noise was different accordingly with the load through the alternator. When I modify the load, let say by switching on the headlights, or the rear defrost, the noise is different....so it has somtehing to do with the alternator, when the engine is off there's no noise at all.

To be continued...
