Interviewed by TLC "Rides" at Woodward

My Legend Lime '05 GT was a real hit at the Detroit Woodward Dream Cruise.
It was parked right beside the road and Chip Foose's camera crew were looking up '05 owners to see if anyone was doing any mods to the cars.

They saw my Legend Lime and asked if they could take pictures of the cool colored '05 Mustang!

The producer asked me if I was going to do anything to the car and I opened up the hood and showed him the 488 RWHP IC/SC setup from Vortech!

He said " we gotta talk ".

They interviewed me for about 10 minutes and took lots of shots of the car.

They said that Chip might do a show specifically on the mods and personal interpretations available right out of the box for the '05.

I couldn't say enough good things about the car!

They even had a mike stuck beside the blower and another one just about up the exhaust when my son was revving it up for them to hear. What a crowd pleaser!

Chip was there and was signing people's T-shirts. What a cool guy! Regards Paul :thumbup

Pretty cool story.

A few weeks ago in a Mustang car show, I met Steve Saleen and we talked 1 on 1, 2005 Pony for about 20 minutes, he is a real class act.

Keep us posted if your car hits the press.
Hey R3

Steve Saleen was there as well. He was signing really nice posters for anyone who took the time to line up.

Chip was asking people what their ride was and signing a little sketch of their cars on their T-shirts above his signature.

Both Steve Saleen and Chip Foose are really class acts. Anyone who spent any time with them or asked a question got the straight goods and as you said it was " 1 0n 1 " quality time!

Very cool!

Yeah, they came down to our YMR spot and shot some footage and interviewed some of us Yellows, including Steve Shrader, the founder of YMR... Will be interesting to see what gets used and what is left on the editing floor! LOL!

Awesome story guys. I look forward to both overhaulin & rides every week (work that night, but tivo takes care of that for me). Be interesting to see if you guys make it on the show in some fashion... pretty cool really. We'll all be able to look back and say "I remember when..." =)

Crowd Pleaser

I have never had as much fun with a new car as this one!

You just park it and stand back like a proud Daddy!

Running Woodward Avenue at 3.30 in the morning with a few other 'Stangs is fun to! 5 Grand in second gear with the blower howling and the camped out people at the side of the road just goin nuts when we went by.

I would agree with your first stamement... And I'm in just in the V6... LOL! This car is a total blast and head turner! It never fails to attract attention...

I can't wait to see what kind of package Vortech comes out with for the V6. (3 or 4 months yet... so i was told yesterday...) With my few mods, 4.10s, T-Lok I surprised a few V8's out on Woodward... Looking forward to some forced induction for next year... hehehehe....

And that is one awesome Legend Lime you've got there!!!! (LL was my 2nd color choice)
Hey John

I think my son is going to buy a V6 as a daily driver due to gas and insurance.

We talked about that nice square open space at the front of the V6 engine beggin for a blower.:thumbsup

Yeah, when I bought my V6 I bought it mainly for the style and color... I was pleasantly surprised at the performance... for a V6! LOL! (I had an 2002 GT). I was completely happy with the car... then the mods started... first just appearance mods.... then performance mods... now I am completely hooked! LOL!!! So now it's the waiting game... I want to see what Vortech and other have to offer before I decided on which S/C to go with... then of course I've heard talke of dual turbos... LOL!!!

My car is also a daily driver... 14,000 miles since mid-March... It's slowly becoming quite the sleeper... LOL! Like I mentioned I know quite a few guys were surprised when my V6 pulled ahead of them... LOL!

So far I've done: tune, cai, muffler, 4.10s (I've got oversized tires) and T-Lok... next step will be forced induction... LOL!

Best of luck to your son on acquiring his V6 daily drive. Sounds like a great plan.
Woodward Pics

I put a few pics in the community forum, but here are a couple more.

The Red '67 doing tghe burnout runs high 12's on street tires.
That boy loves his burnouts.

The Mustang guys from across the street had some awesome signs to get the crowds and drivers going.
