Hello everyone. Im the new guy (Dave). Just wanted to introduce myself. This past November I bought an Satin Silver 05 V-6 premium and absolutley loved it. Basically, I bought the 6er for the mileage and it just seemed more practical at the time. Besides all of that it was my first mustang and I just fell in love with the new retro look of the cars. Than came the performance bug  ...

Traded it in last night for an 05 Redfire GT Premium, Auto, IUP, Wheel locks, Light Graphite leather, Active alarm, Side AB's and Shaker 500. :yup:
I got beat up a bit on the trade value of the 6 but figured it was worth doing it now rather than 4 1/2 more years of payments on something I wasnt completly happy with. Had a great time with the V-6 and enjoyed it right up until I passed the keys across the table to the salesman last night. So please dont misunderstand I'm not dropping any bombs on the V-6 crowd.

I will post pics soon and look forward to having a good with you in the forum.

Congrats! I have a redfire too. I agree with your choice. A loaded 6 is almost as much as a base GT so why not.
I havnt figured out the picture posing thing yet

Good choice!

But my one argument is: The difference in gas mileage. IT's only a couple mpg difference. If you wanted fuel efficiency, you shouldn't have gotten a mustang period.

The GT's do almost as good as any other sedan on the road at 25 mpg.

V6 GT
19/28 man 19/25 auto 17/25 man 18/23 auto

almost no diff between auto's. Sorry for sounding off, just get annoyed when people say they got the V6 for better gas mileage. They are both terrbile at gas mileage, but thats not why u buy a sports car. :)

Oh and btw, instead of pics...do a video ;) We don't get too many of those around here.

I hear ya. I guess the retro syle was the main reason.

Better:-D I'll have to admit, the roar of the exhaust is what first prompted me to start looking at them, then the retro-styling knocked me off my feet when I saw one in person. Knew I had to get it at that point.
Howdy! And welcome to AFM! Great choice. I'm kinda partial to the Redfire myself. :drink:
Thanks enjoying it so far. :yup:
Welcome abroad! I just love that color RedFire and that automatic transmission is smooth and shifts FAST. You are going to love it!!
