That's interesting. I don't get those ads. It may be because I have adblock. You might give it a try. Just google it. It's free but they'll take donations. Works on most sites including YouTube.

thanks for those tips, will try Firefox setting first . . . . this morning they are not doing it; but yesterday there were video ads that were playing automatically and were a real pain in the butt.

I agree with this. I'm an IT guy by profession and I use both AdBlock and AdGuard AdBlocker for both Firefox and Chrome. They are free extensions you can download and one of the best things you can do to make the internet more user friendly.

They even stop the ads that play in between songs on Pandora! The only problem I ever have with them, is every once and a while Hulu can recognize them and give a black screen for the duration of their ad period or ask you to "Enable Ads on Hulu". I usually just suck it up and wait the 45 seconds until my show starts playing again though.

On a side note, hopefully you're not using Internet Explorer. I hate IE as it has so many bugs and short comings. Chrome is my preferred personal browser and Firefox is what I use while at work.

Deactivating Flash helped, haven't installed Ad Blocker yet but probably will do that soon.

I was using Chrome until I got the feeling that it was tracking everything I was doing and reporting back to the mother ship. Firefox feels a little more private, but that might be my imagination.
