So i was at my girlfriends place yesterday. Her little sisters friends father and mother both have 06GTs. The father knows alot with them and he was telling me how Saleen corrupted.

Now i didnt really believe this b/c Saleen is such a big company with cars.. So i was wondering is this true? Has anyone else heard this story.

Corrupted? I have heard that they are going to start working with other vehicles besides Mustangs but I am not sure what you are saying.
The Saleen company went out of business and sold off everything leaving any Saleen owner without warranty coverage. So Saleen Inc is no longer around. I'm not sure what you mean by "corrupted" though.

Steve Saleen, who was no longer involved with "Saleen Inc.," started another company, SMS Supercars, and has some new vehicles in the works. Steve has also said that his new company will honor warranty work on any of the Saleen vehicles out there.

Here's a news story about the warranty coverage:

And this would prevent someone from being/becoming corrupted how.......?:headscratch:

And not to come across as lecturing or giving an English class, but when you say ..."was telling me how Saleen corrupted"... you're saying corrupted like a verb, as in he corrupted something or someone. Did you mean he "became corrupted"?

Yes this is what i was looking for. He told me they sold off everything too. I was only wondering if it was true b/c the JDM by me just recieved 4 Brand new Saleen mustangs. And he told me they were for no-charge. That Saleen jsut gave them to him b/c off all the work they have done with JDM.

Im sorry if i confused everyone or anyone about saying corrupted. My bad guys.

He may have also been referring to something else. When Steve left Saleen, Inc. he went to work on the board of a new car company that's going to be bringing in cheap Chinese cars.
Steve Saleen to bring Chinese cars to U.S.
He also opend up SMS Motorsports where he will be working on Mustangs as well as other vehicles.

And all the people that worked for Saleen now work for a company called Techmo or something like that.
Saleen is not a corrupt company. We have been doing business with them for several years and they are great to work with. They just do not give free cars away, they loan them to JDM to help with the development of their products. We have done similar things with their engines.

They also are not out of business. They were sold to a holding company and purchased buy another company. They are better off now than they have been for the last 2 years.

His new company is also honoring warranties on the the last 2 years or so of the Saleen cars that were made after he sold the Saleen name since they went under.

That says a lot about the man and his business integrity, obviously he wants to value of the Saleen name even though he does not own it anymore.

That company (ZXNA, ZX north America, or aka CHAMEX) went out of business (forced into bankruptcy) in 2008.
Steve Saleen recently had a "family" car show at his location here in Corona. I could not attend due to family obligations, but otherwise would have loved to attend. Steve has shown off a challenger supercar, I believe. I didn't see Steve Saleen vehicles at all at SEMA last week, but it's SO huge it would have been easy to miss. I had to hunt down the Saleen Performance Company booth to get some pictures and video of the new Saleen that was unveiled that day at SEMA. I actually had to go to the information booth and get a map! they were pretty close to the Ford location, but still tucked into a corner.

The new Saleen (without Steve) is quite beautiful. Flowing lines (especially the hood scoop and side exhaust) and a really nice treatment of the awkward rear end of the 2010 Mustang.

So what happened to the Saleen S7 supercar that Saleen Inc produced?
I think people got tired of the 90's ground effects and graphics that the cars came with. that was cool 15 yrs ago but not now. IMO its pretty hard to improve the looks of the '05-09 models anyways, if you try to it normally just detracts from the car
wow steve saleen selling imports wow thats a disgrace.

also techco already got has trouble with their company
