So I don't know a whole lot about the internal workings of an automatic. I had a rebuilt AOD in my 91 LX, it has an upgraded valvebody and high stall. About a year ago I was putting it back in the car and the torque converter wasn't all the way on and I tightened the motor to the bell housing, then tried to turn the motor by hand and it wouldnt budge. I took it back off and then got it on right. I never put the motor and trans in the car and sold the motor to a friend.

My question is, did I damage anything by fully torquing down the trans while it wasn't fully in the converter? I would like to sell the trans but I don't want to sell a broken trans for a high price to anyone.

I doubt you hurt anything if you didn't run it.
