So I've read up about T-Lok and Limited Slip Differential's. I understand what they are how they work.

What I don't understand is the Traction Control that you get out of the factory.

I've been searching around posts on here trying to figure out if the Traction Control is in some way different than the T-Lok or Limited Slip Diff.

I have not been able to find anything that explains the how the Traction Control system works and how or if it differs from T-Lok/Limited Slip Diff.

Anyone know the answer?

Very different, the traction control limits the throttle and can also work with the abs system, to help keep the car under control.

I believe the traction control uses the rear brakes to stop whichever wheel is losing traction.I've tried it in the rain.A light comes on in the dash(car with squiglie lines) when it activates.

The traction control uses ABS to keep the car from fishtailing. It works quite well on snow, not so good on ice. It will limit power to the slipping wheel to the point that you're not going anywhere- it's better if stuck on ice to turn off the traction control until you get moving.
