Guys,

I'm looking to get and 85 convertible and I stumbled across this one:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/img_popup.jsp?imgUrl=http://images.autotrader.com/images/2005/10/7/190/483/1856280280.190483471.IM1.MAIN.565x421_A.562x421.jpg&car_id=190483471&address=11731&numImages=1&advanced=y

Let me know if this car has the correct tail lights for an 85 - I don't think so...

Thanks,
Rob

no, those are 87-93 LX lights
the tailights that belong on that car are the same as a 1993 cobra, 84-86 SVo. Those are LX tailights from 87+
Thanks for the input, I would assume that the spoiler isn't correct as well???

Someone may correct me if I am wrong on this, but as far as I see it: No.

The verts came with a different trunk stock. They didn't have a spoiler on them.

As it looks to me, that trunk is one off of a GT.

No, the Cobra lights are not the same as the 85-86 non-SVO

That spoiler is from a mid '84-'85 hatchback.
Yes, yes... but it isn't the stock one on his Vert.

I stand corrected! :)
OK,

What do you think of this one?

I personally don't like the rims and would want to replace them with the original stock ones. Any idea ho much it would cost to swap them out?

And what about recovering the leather seats, any idea on costs with that?

Thanks for the inputs,
Rob
looks good, other than the jerk put in door speakers....the wheels, hell, I sold a set of 10 holes for $25....nobody wants them, and the leather is not that hard, you can get kits for under $1000, and labor would not be too much
All depends on taste.

Problem with eBay is that you never really know what you get till you get it. And the truth of the matter is, the more hands that those keys pass through, the less and less you know about your vehicle. I'm facing this trouble with mine and am finding myself completely unable to get in touch with the original owner.

As far as the rims go? Didn't the '86s come with the 4 lugs? If it is, and I think so, than you wouldn't be able to go back to the original wheels because those rims have 5 lugs.
count again, there are 4 on those 1995 Cobra R knock-off's

whats wrong with those wheels. I have them on my 84 vert...stock ones are probably the trx and the tires (if you can still get them) are about 900 bucks a set....
I am going back to grade school. :eyepoppin
