Hey all, I'm looking to install an OEM spoiler (it's black, needs to be painted) on my 2013 silver convertible. I'm looking for a template to assure that I drill in the right places, can anyone help me with this? Much appreciated.

If it was aftermarket it would come with a template, but I guess OEM assumes the holes are already there .... so I'm thinking it probably does not exist, not sure anyone can help ... practical solution might be to make one yourself off of the spoiler ... or if you bought it from a dealer, ask that dealer

Bought the spoiler used. I'm hoping someone did an OEM Trunk Spoiler install and they can provide some advice, measurements, or a template. I only get one chance to drill the holes, I need to be certain the drilled holes are in the right place so they correspond to the holes in the underside of the trunk, thanks :)

You should be able to locate the spoiler mounting holes on the underside of the trunk. This is because the same trunk would have been used on different models. Be sure you dry fit the spoiler, of course, and make sure the holes on the spoiler are in the same layout location.

I changed over to a duckbill spoiler on my 2014 GT and if I recall correctly there weren't that many bolts. A lot of double sided tape too.

Anyway, once you can confirm the bolt holes are there on the underside of the truck match the spoiler, you should be good to go.

DRILL THE HOLES THROUGH THE BOLT HOLES FROM INSIDE THE TRUNK. Presto. No template needed.

You say OEM spoiler but which spoiler do you mean exactly? A pic would be very helpful here since there's at least 3 OEM spoilers for 2010-14 that I can think of. Most spoilers can't be fitted onto a convertible due to the 3rd brake light.
Was there any spoiler already installed on this car?

The Ford brand spoilers will also come with a template when bought new. My suggestion is to take masking tape and put it on the trunk where the spoiler mounts to and then trace outside the mounts. Then you have something to measure from.

Different spoilers use different holes. Though some holes in the same spots do get used from spoiler to spoiler they're not already drilled to fit more substantial spoilers than the stock little one. You always have to drill more holes. Some spoilers will also leave already drilled holes exposed which is a problem.
