I purchased a 9007 high/low (xenon low beam, halogen high beam) kit from ebay, and they sent me 9004 bulbs, which they say fit exactly the same and work the same. Is this true? Anyhow, I am having issues, as the day time running lamp circuit isn't powering the halogen high beam, and rather causing the xenon low beam to flicker. Does anyone know the fix for this? Furthermore, is there any functional difference between the 9004 and 9007 bulb?

I eventually want to do a projector retrofit, because of the obvious short comings with an HID kit in a halogen housing.

what year is your car? I thought 9004 bulbs were from fox bodies and 9007 were sn95...

Why is it you want the DRL to power the high-beam? Shouldn't the DRL only be low-beam?
Does the rest of the unit function correctly (i.e. does the low and high beams work the way they should?)
I know a lot of these dual kits are kinda wierd when they come from overseas on ebay.

Car is a 2000 GT which uses the 9007 bulb, I was under the impression that the DRL’s used the high-beam circuit with lower current?

Yes the rest of the unit functions properly - the high beam halogens work, and the low beam xenon works, its just that the DRL's are causing things to work strange - i.e. xenons flickering with the DRLs.
