Finally got my girl home, flew down to Texas and drove it straight up to Minnesota. The best drive of my life, I was grinnin from ear to ear all the way home:gringreen Clear and sunny most of the way, not a drop of rain or snow. I had Gary Numan blarin thru the sterio singin "In Cars" and Green Onions by Booker T and the Mg's. Went straight up I-35. Loved it when I had to pass other vehicles , got lots of stares and waves. The handling and performance is unbelievable, shot up to 90 without even trying:happyhapp , Cant wait to bury the needle but thats another day. Heres some pics at Five Star Ford in Dallas/Fortwoth where I bought the car and on the road.

Let me be the first to say congratulations! It looks fantastic. I bet it hurts to look at it, in the sunshine :)

Too bad we can't see the gauges in that last pic :)

I feel honored to be the first to view your photos. Not that you are reading any of these posts, you are probably out driving.

Congratulations! Nice ride, I like the wheels.

That last pic reminds me of my first road trip. Came upon a stretch of new black top... flat and smooth... the car begged to go... I asked my sister, "should I?", she said, "whatever".

I didn't, I put the cruise control on 75 (speed limit was 70). Around the next corner, as another car was passing me (doing about 85ish) there he was, a state trooper. He flagged the other dude down and I kept rolling.
Very sharp... Too bad she has to sit for the winter!
Believe me it'll jet much quicker than 90 :eyepoppin .My bro-in-law has a stock 71'Pantera,I let him give my 06' the "Stress test" due to his talent as a race car driver. He did a 140mph blast in the 06' and said it would definately give his Pantera a run. That was a respectful compliment coming from him and he can't wait to get his 4.6 R code in his Pantera...( I can't either :) ).

As for your new ride,it looks great and the polished wheels really set it off nicely. I can't wait to take a road trip like that when the mountains thaw out this spring.
hEY!!! yOU STOLE MY CAR!!!!!!!!

I like your wheels better than mine...

Enjoy!
Congratulations, were you able to beat that nasty ice storm we had or did you just miss it? I have washed my girl 3 times this week. Atleast the roads are dry now.I think what you did would be one of the best ways to bring a new car home ! A nice long time to get to know her.
Yes I missed the ice storm, the only snow I seen was when I pulled off the freeway in Iowa to gas up and my own driveway. I still haven't washed her though, waiting for warmer day and gonna hose her down in my driveway. My garage has heated floors so it gets pretty toasty in there and makes it nice for detail work.

Nice color, I also have a scremming yellow 06 GT Just love it. I had 2 11in
stripes put on the entire front to rear. If your thinking about stripes go to
web site www.throttlehorseracing.com and ck out the picture gallery.
The yellow one is mine.
