Just gave the 04 GT some seafoam and then...

I hydro locked the engine..

Just kidding.

It was my first time doing it, I fed it threw the Vac line and put it in the gas tank. When I did it threw the line I just started the car right after. Then found out I was supposed to let it sit 10mins then start it? Ooppss... Anyway it still smoked up, Not a huge amount the car only has 56k but a good amount. Also added it to the gas tank, I did not do the oil yet because its new clean oil and I dont wanna change it early. Car seems to idle nicer and I seem to have gotten better throttle response.

I dunno man. To me it sounds scary to add a fluid into the intake. lol...

But yea, I dunno if I would be willing to do this with a car of mine. Really, whats the benefits and how badly can it break your car?
Actually when you add through the vacuum line, you do it with the engine idling so that there is vacuum present, and use a bottle that works as a gravity feed. That's how I did mine anyway, per the direction of a good friend that is an ASE cert'd master mechanic. I let it idle for probably about 10-15 minutes until it had sucked it all down on it's own, and then gave it a nice 50% throttle snap on the pedal and it blew out a nice little puff of crap out the exhaust. Basically what the stuff does is clean out oil residue from the intake and any carbon buildup in the combustion chambers.

Ive have done it many times, My car had a bad spark knock (99v6) after doing a few bottles on time through the pcv I no longer have the spark knock. I curently have 193k on my mustang.

For the most part, no. Run decent gas and keep up on other engine mantenance and you shouldn't have issues or negative impact as a result of carbon build-up or oil sludge residues in the intake tract.

For the second one, yes. If done incorrectly it can really piss things off. Foul up spark plugs, burn a valve or two, stuff like that. When I did it, I was given the specific instruction to use the vacuum feed bottle with the valve on it barely open to just allow a small drip to come through, let manifold vacuum draw it in on it's own - don't flood it by squeezing the bottle or opening the valve all the way, and let it do so at idle until all of the solution had been sucked in and digested. Give a couple nice snaps on the throttle afterward to blow all the shiz out - the bigger and nastier the white cloud emitted from the tailpipe upon doing so is indicative of the contaminants that were in the engine. Mine blew out a fairly underwhelming puff on the first throttle snap and that was it, which says that there wasn't much crap built up in my engine.

If you dump to much in at one time I was told you can hydro lock the engine. I was scared at first. When i was pouring it in i was hoping it stays running lol and once i saw the smoke i said okay im doing it right. I just watched enough youtube videos until i was comfortable with it. You cant mess it up. My car has 56k and smoked up. It will help you for sure! Even idles nicer and more throttle response

The reason it would hydro lock is because liquid can't be compressed like a gas can. Too much liquid in a cylinder and bye-bye. However, Seafoam is 100% a petroleum product and no matter what people say, if done properly, its safe for your motor. I have used it countless times in numerous vehicles. Its when careless knuckle heads start aimlessly adding it without knowledge that it can be a problem. On maintained engines, its not really neccessary.

:) get this, I changed the oil in the car about a month ago. I have driven it maybe 500 miles or so since and I checked the oil the other day, it looks like I JUST put it in there. Normally it'd get darker or move towards black, not this one. Perfectly clean :)
yes it cleans carbon off the valves and cleans the injectors plus picks up mpg and performance

I did mine at 138k and my car ran 100% better. Performance overall improved drastically.

Do it right and you will be fine...
I just put some in the oil. Did the vacuum line again to. No smoke at all must of got everything the first time ;)
