Very easy and simple to install. It took me about 30 minutes and 10 minutes of that was getting the stock retainer clip off. Once the stock bracket is off, the JHR simply slides over the shifter housing. Only thing to do after that is tighten the bolts. That's it... So simple...

So after putting the JHR on, the shifting is more precise and direct. Before with the stock bracket, it felt like I was not in 1st gear sometimes, and had a very disconnected feeling. With the JHR you know you are in gear; and like I stated, it's a direct-precise feeling.

The noise? Some of you must have super sensitive hearing. Yes it is louder having the JHR on, but it's a very minimal sound increase. To describe the sound increase is like when I had my 2002 GT and I put a Steeda Triax on it. I don't know why some complain about the sound. I like it..

Over all I highly recommend the JHR shift bracket. A very high quality piece, nice price, and very simple install. Oh and it works as advertised!

Are you using the delrin bushing or the urethane? I just received the urethane replacement and will send the delrin back to JHR when I install. Thanks for the post!

I don't have tranny whine or engine ticks, so I'm good to go.

Urethane. Is the Delrin that much louder? I know it's a harder compund.

Adam stated that the urethane should be a little quieter. I don't know for sure, but I'm installing this no matter what.

I want that shifter as well. Do you notice a big difference over stock?

i am not sure what the fuss about noise, urethane, or delrin is all about - i cant imagine it makes much of a difference either way.

The delrin is as hard as rock. The urethane is quite a bit softer, though dense enough to be effective at improving shift feel. If you have transmission whine I would suggest getting the urethane bushing.

I have had the JHR shifter and Delrin mount for a little over 3,000 miles. Just put on the urethane mount and would say the noise drops by 80% over the Derlin and 20 nosier than stock. I think the car also shifts better with the urethane mount over the Derlin mount.

good to hear and when i order the bracket i will inquiry about the urethane mount, but i think my exhaust must be too load or something. i havent found the shifter any more noisy then the stock piece was.

When you purchase the bracket from the JHR page you now have the option to choose which bushing you want.

I agree with all of this, NVH increase is minor, urethane bushing is plenty stiff, quality construction, and bolted right up!

I didn't have any shifting issues to start with, just that 'vague' feeling from the shifter and had to try this to firm everything up - thumbs up to JHR, great part and a great price.:bigthumbsup

Im still waiting to take out the delrin bushing in my JHR bracket and put in the urethane for a good back to back comparison and update my JHR bracket thread.

Nice to hear that you guys are really liking the urethane.

I was hesitant about removing the delrin bushing, but now that I've thought about the urethane and been keeping aware of my shifts again, I think the urethane is the way to go with stock engine and transmission mounts. I just have a feeling about the way everything works as a system and how stiff the delrin is... we will see.

I'm having the same issue here over what type bushing i was just provided with when buying my UPR tranny mount . Which is basically a JHR mount since their letter are embossed in the mount. I got a very hard plastic like black bushing which i think is a Delrin.
So i e-mailed UPR sales dept. to inquire and they told me that their poly bushings are black not yellow like others companies. But i don't believe i got a poly bushing, this thing is hard as a rock. here is a pic:

The Delrin bushing is very hard and I believe that is what you got. The Urethane(not Polyurethane) bushing is much softer, though still very dense.
