K&N vs JLT. what to do, what to do?

My K&N intake filter was brought second hand, and has clearly taken a beating, as it has holes in it. I mean to replace it, which is about 45 bucks. Now I hear everyone talking about the JLT, but very little if any about the K&N. Is the JLT better, being that it requires a tune? I must admit, i didnt see alot of diffrence with the K&N. It does however create a deeper exhaust tone, and a awsome sucking sound when combined with a TB spacer. So somebody, anybody chime in and take me to school. should i just keep what i got and buy the replacement filter, or just shell out the bucks for a JLT. I already got a SCT tuner to upgrade the tune with, and free tunes for life. (thanks american muscle !!!).

JLT will run circles around the K&N. Well worth the expense.
jlt is superior to k&n...but does require use of the tuner

+1 :) your talking night and day, black and white. however the jlt requires a tuner and tune to run it, so the price is night and day too :gringreen ( get the combo kit from am)
And like stlwagon said, you also get circles with the JLT. :D
Its a no brainer brother,JLT for the win.
i wouldn't take a free k&n after running with my jlt:bigthumbsup
09stanger - I would take a free K&N... and sell it on eBay!! make some extra cash hahahaha
OK, so let me ask you guys. (I've got a tuner BTW so I can change at anytime)

BBK or JLT?

Is JLT the hands-down, undisputed king of the CAI for us V6 guys with tunes?
JLT all the Way:bigthumbsup Get your Tunes up-dated and Feel the Power:bigthumbsup
all those big intake brands look the same to me. they all have the same size filter just different colors. and there all pretty much the same shape intake tube. u might see a 1-2 hp difference between all the brands nothing you can feel. if your stuck between those two brands go with the less expensive one:winks
A CAI + Tune (JLT) versus an intake that doesn't require a tune will be a significant difference. More than just 1-2 horses. It is like putting 93 octane in your car without a tune. 93 octane without a tune will do pretty much nothing for you, but once you tune it - BAM! tons of hp gains.

The only benefit that K&N has is that there are replacement filters that you can easily find and buy for cheap. JLT does not.
However, it is simple to clean the CAI and without cleaning it is claimed to last 50k.
jlt is still superior
guess that answers it, im buying one right now!!!
i should have it by tues, so i will report any diffrence if any....
