Hey guys, been lurking for a bit now, but just put a deposit down to a private seller today on a very low mileage 2011 GT Premium (brembo, glass roof, 6mt). I'm brand new to ford (and domestics in general) Just came out of a 2001 BMW M coupe, and decided the new mustang was the way to go for me.
1 concession in buying a new car was that it HAD to be forced induction, unfortunately, the GT falls a bit short in that category, but nothing a day in the garage can't remedy. I'm looking at two positive displacement blowers.
Kenne Bell 2.8LC
vs.
Edelbrock E-Series
The KB seems to have more potential for power, and doesn't look quite as "finished" as the E-series, although theres still something beautiful about it. It also carries a 2-300 dollar premium over the edelbrock. The e-series looks like it belongs on the engine, uses the "acclaimed" TVS eaton, and did I mention it looks great.
Hoping to get some insight from folks that have these installed on their 11+ mustangs. I'll be doing the install myself, and will be buying a kit with the tuner included.
P.S. Accompanying mods will be lowering springs with koni yellows or STR's (with LCA's and panhard only if necessarry), and likely a set of longtubes with catted x-pipe down the road, gt500 mufflers.
