My 99' GT has a chime that goes off when you turn the car off, and have it in any other position than "ON". My question is, why does it continue to go off when i have the key turned backwards to listen to the radio? Anyone have this issue? Thanks.

Just about every car built within the last 30 years does this.

I don't know what to tell you.... Every car I've ever driven dings or beeps or whatever when the key is in the ignition switch and turned to "acc". Some will stop making noise after like 10 minutes, like my '06 Ranger, and I've had a car or two that would stop if you jiggled the key just right. The only time they usually don't make any noise is if you turn it to the "run" position, but that's a battery killer to sit there with the ignition circuit fired up. If it really bugs you that much I'm sure it can be disabled; you just would have to find where the buzzer is and pull a wire.
