Hey all,
I am inquiring as to whether I can put a larger tire on my stock 16" wheels. I currently run P215/65R16 BFGoodrich tires on 16x7.0x39mm wheels. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
you really cant. the only other size i could find was a 235/60, which i got. the tire is the right height, but its hardly any wider. you really wont notice anything. look around on all the tire sites. the 7" wheel is pretty narrow, and not many choices in 16`s, thats one reason why i went to 17 but didnt really want any bigger wheel, just wider (and bullits).
Hunt around on Craiglist.... I see Mustang rims and tires on there in the Phoenix area all the time, I'll bet there are some in your neck of the woods....
Definitely hunt around, you can probably sell you old rims if you don't want to hold onto original parts.
I bought good rubber set of 17" grey bullitts off a '06GT guy local on Craig's list for $500 and sold my stock wheels with good rubber on ebay local pickup for $200. Don't have the tps sensors but can live with the light on the dash until I need new tires.
