My First Car

I just got my first car last week! I'm just really lucky and estatic that it's a 2005 Legend Lime Mustang. I haven't really driven it in quite yet, my parents are kinda sceptical about all the power it has, but I have driven it around town a few times and people really love it.
It's great. I'm 17 years old girl and I can say that I have an awesome A** car!

Those are some pictures of my car! :grinroll:

Even though there seems to be a bunch of us with this color chiming in...... I do think we are in the minority with this color. I think it is a color you either love or hate. I really think the BIG stand out thing with this color is, no other current model car out there really has a color like this. The VW bug is close......but that car is a joke. So the New Color, New Styling......I have to say sorry guys but.........Forget about it.
I've wanted this new style since I got glimpses of the spy shots surfaced. I admit we were torn between the Torch Red and the Lime in the brochure. I finally saw a Legend Lime and was sold. The one I saw was a Premium W/Tan interior but really wanted Charcoal interior. A few weeks back, we found one on a Dealer lot, and brought her home a few days after. I really am Sad/Glad to say it was so painless to locate/purchase it. Initially we figured we would order it when the time was right. I did not realize the headaches you guys were going through trying to locate them.
We had Rally Stripes and the "Mustang" side strip applied
Within the next few weeks I hope to have the quarter window Louvers, sequencing lights for now.
Here are a few pics:

Im sure you guys already know there is a Mustang group that is kinda separate with the yellowmustangregistry address..

Perhaps each color may have to start their own...LegendLime registry-com or something like that...

just a thought.

I believe according to their website it has blossomed to over 1400 members of yellow stangs. Im fairly certian the domain is available before that lawyer hears about it...Frank Weir>

Finally

Well after ordering mine in Feb, yesterday I finally accually got to see the Legend Lime paint in person, though it was a V-6, I'm glad that I got to see what the paint looks like, and if the V-8 has more power than the V-6 I drove, then my wife is right, it will be less than 2 weeks before I get my first speeding ticket...... now all I need is my LL GT that I ordered......:strut

leonSORTX,
Hey,
Well I have to say that is the first 'Stang I saw it that bra on. That looks pretty nice. The bra's on some cars really take away from the styling. Mine is a daily driver, I do try to keep my distance as much as possible to avoid chips............Hmmmmmm
Also, that is one nice pic with the mountain scene. I am going to be pissed if you say that was in your backyard. That looks like a "Photo shoot" quality picture. There are not too many impressive backdrops like that one over here in Indiana.

As far as the spec's.
My dealer uses an independant person to do the decals. I had them all including the side strips put on for $500
I"ve seen a lot cheaper but you get what you pay for. All the ends of the decals "Wrap" whether under the hood, down into a window channel etc.
I've seen some on dealer lots where the edges look like they were cut while the guy was having a seizure.
I don't have the exact measurements, but I beleive it is about 3 inches gap in center. and a 1/4" gap between rally's and pinstripe. I don't know the exact width of stripe...maybe 9"????????

I Just Got My Legend Lime 05 'tang!

I'm so excited! I just picked up my 05.. which has replaced my '96 mustang. I LOVE the legend Lime! I'm going to have sooo much fun. I opted for V6 as I have a lead foot...I don't need any more tickets!!! :) Love these new Mustangs!!! :)

Here's a couple of photos taken on it's 1st road trip this past weekend.

Thanks......... Skyline....it's one of my favorite mountain roads here.

A few years ago I took a road trip to Death Valley to do some photograrhy and stopped at a place called Red Rock outside Las Vegas. I know exactly where that photo was taken. Beautiful area. Great car!

I too have ordered legend lime, GT, Dark Charcoal int, 5 speed, anti theft, 1000 shaker. Ordered 1/28, was told today was built last week (3/14 - 3/18) don't know exact date. Was told I should have next week.....yeah can't wait. Beautiful color, none around this area. GT's in this area hard to come by. Ordered without seeing, driving or hearing...know I won't be disappointed.

Just picked up my Legend Lime GT, dark charcoal 5 speed. All I can say is wow.

The wife said I was grinning the whole time I drove it. Put 80 miles on it (and the dealer is only 20 miles away). I hit some nice S-curves on a country road and couldn't believe it when I glanced down and saw the speedometer on 70....this thing handles so much better than previous Mustangs that it's hard to think of it as one. She got a little nervous when I dropped a gear and went from 50 to 90 on a straight stretch and pushed her back into the seat...but she let me have my fun :laughlitt

Also got that auto-dimming mirror...and I love that thing. I drove around until after dark just to see it work, and it's great.

When I did get home I just sat in it in the garage and fiddled with mirrors, radio stations, MyColor, the seat position, steering wheel tilt....I didn't want to get out.

It's my first new car...and it may be my last if I can keep it running

I too have the Legend Lime Green. I get more compliments on that color as you will. Funny it looks more like an olive color than "lime green"

If I'm trying to describe it to someone, I call it metallic sage green. If I saw a lime that color I would back away slowly...

Had it out today at a Chinese restaurant and the owner of the place came out of the back and up to our table to ask me about the green car. :nogrinner

Ok as of last Tuesday I am now an official member of the legend lime club of owners. I love this color! :D
