lethal performance off road X Pipe
Ok guys. I recently just picked up a Lethal Performance off road x pipe.
Just got the tunes from BAMA for the added mid pipe. And they got it to me FAST! So fast I wasn't expecting it till tomorrow but I have it today. I will most likely put it on tomorrow and load the new tune.
Then sometime later will get it back on the dyno to check out the added power from it.
NO MORE CATS! YESSSSSS
And I can't wait to hear what it sounds like with my roush axel backs. so excited.
will post video tomorrow when its on and running. YEAHHHHH

I have just heard lots of good things about the lethal. And I don't think there too much of a difference. You can't go wrong.
But Jared from lethal has my name. Well spelled differently. So thats why i got it. hahah jk
But yea will let you know how it goes. The only thing I'm not looking forward too is taking the passenger side bolt from the header and mid pipe off... heard thats a pain. but I can DO IT!

This was a PAIN in the AZZ but I got it done. But now I am waiting on finding a friend with their windows laptop since mine is a mac so I can load my new tunes.

No SCT tuner to plug into ODB port?
I have the SCT tuner, but I have the NEW tunes emailed to me.
You have to plug in your SCT into the windows laptop and load the new tunes on the tuner itself. Then you plug the SCT into the OBDII port in the car to load the new tunes.

well macs come with bootcamp. I need to invest in a copy of windows. But its 200 bucks. And only to use it a couple times for my tune isn't worth it to me. Ill keep borrowing friends laptops lol

And WOW its loud. SOOOO LOUD. But I love it! Now its a head turner FOR SURE. People be staring. Sounds like a real muscle car.
Will get a video maybe tomorrow since its late here in florida and don't wanna wake the neighbors.
Underneath underpasses? PURE SEX! EARGASM! Its sooooo cool sounding. And loud. I can't wait till other people put on their off road x pipes as well so they can hear it. You have to hear it in person to get the real benefit of it.
Drone? None at cruising highway speeds (65mph about 2k) but I have 3.55 gears. I can still talk and you wouldn't know I had exhaust. Which is cool I was worried about drone.
Took a girl out in it (of course) as soon as I loaded the BAMA tune. Running performance tune. And love it. Deff can feel the difference in the off road x pipe. My roads were a little wet so I didn't get on it WOT cuz was worried id spin out lol.
The girl was all GRIN. Ear to ear. And said "Oh my god this is so loud. But it sounds soooo nice. lets go get my friend" picked up another hottie and cruised the highway. Needless to say, they both fell in love with my car... and me. hahahaha
Summary... I love it. it sounds loud WHEN i want it to be. Still quiet if under 2k rpms and don't WOT every time. Well worth it.

CONGRATS! mine is coming in tomorrow. i cant wait!!! excited as hell! that exactly the result i was expecting.
the lethal x pipe is great. i have a bbr x pipe which is the same. I will tell you that i like the sound of it 100 times more with the stock axle back.. i had roush axle back and i got rid of them after a couple of weeks because i just did not like the raspy sound. and it was way to loud also. im back to stock axle back with the x pipe and i love it.
Yea it is loud. I like the looks of the roush and the sound is cool. But thats my preference. I am tempted to get the steeda axel backs because that is a low grumble. And see how that would sound. But the steeda are so expensive compared to roush axels.

I was just like that for the first few months of having the O/R X pipe on my 97 GT but it got old and I eventually had an exhaust shop weld in a pair of the steel core magnaflow race cats that basically toned the decibel volume down to more civilized and tolerable levels but still HOWLED when I got on it.
If I could see a dyno of one of these GT's with the stock exhaust and then a higher flowing mid pipe with race cats to see if there is any substancial increase in power, I'd do that but the stock cats may flow enough already that high flow race cats wouldn't really be worth what they cost.
I could be wrong though.

im on vacations this week and i think i will try to open up the stock mufflers and probably mess around with the baffles to see if i can make them a little bit louder and not have the raspy noise of the roush.
video???? IM dying to hear this. Theres only a few roush +off road X videos out there....
