Question is should I do long tube headers or shortie headers?


I like the Long Tubes that already have the catrs on them, but they are rather pricey.

How much difference is ther on the 3V engine between Long Tubes and shorts?

I will be compling this with FLowmaster Mufflers, Charge Motion Plates, K&N FIPK, and retune.

In California, long tubes are not smog legal. You are not allowed to move the cats. Long tubes are better performancewise because of the better scavenging effect. Shorties are good for probably 12 to 15 horses at the rear wheels.

What would you say long tube headers are good for? And is there a website which tells you where they are street legal?
