you can take a chance on that brace, but i ordered one and it wouldnt clear the plenum. i tried it on both our cars. so thinking i just got a bad one, that was bent wrong, they had me return it and sent me another one just last week. same thing. shame too, it was a nice looking brace and a good price. they show one on a v6 motor in the customer pics too. the people making them need to do some redesigning or qaulity control work. you might want to hold off on that brace for a while.they will probably get it straightened out. i`m returning the 2nd one tues and i have the shelby brace coming tues also.ive seen cheaper ones on ebay, and ive heard ford has one for aorund 50.00 but i dont know the details. in this pic its sitting in place on the pass side and you can see how far up its sitting on the bolts on the dr side. the motor has to have a little room to move.

I got mine inexpensively off of Ebay and it works just fine. The one thing I discovered though it that is was not symmetrical fore and aft. The fist time I put it on the hood would not close right. I swapped it around 180 degrees and it works perfectly.

Do the bars provide that much of a noticeable difference?

well a mechanic i know really well, says that i should probably get the sway bar at the same time as the rear sway bar. he said the shocks will ware differently and can cause future problems.

The auction you posted is for a strut tower brace not a sway bar.
If you have the pony package, you have front and rear swaybars. If you don't, you have a front only. Adding a rear sway bar will not cause any shock problems. The strut tower brace is an appearance mod unless you open track your car.
