Looking to buy a S550 Mustang GT Premium

Hello I am currently 16 and saving a lot, because I have always been into cars and I want to get a manual 6spd Mustang GT in either in a bit when I turn 17 or 18 and just wanted to ask at what mileage I should be looking at and what years to be looking at. I would prefer a lower mileage since I want to daily drive it, and also I won’t be doing much mods other than an exhaust, rims, suspension, and some cosmetic things here and there.
(I have insurance figured out since I will put it on my sisters name who is 28 and my family plan allows for that). I have been saving my money from birthdays, chores, and work, so I just wanted to know what to expect and some price points I should expect. I see them from 30k to 40k dollars. Thanks in advance!

A 2015 is the first year of S550. You can get a 2015-17 GT for $25k or so with varying mileage at around 50k or more. That's a lot of $ for a teenager but not impossible. If you wanted a Premium trim, special edition like a Performance Package, a super low mileage car, or a newer S550 than a 2015-17 then the price goes up.
Keep saving and see what you can get up to and that will dictate what you can afford.
Btw, I think that you should change your avatar to a Mustang or Ford theme.
I would try to avoid the 2015 if possible, since that was the first year of a major redesign. That said, they seem to be fairly reliable up to fairly high mileage, well over 100K. You can browse the threads on here to find out about the more common issues.

Beyond that, it's a question of budget and options. $30K seems like a lot to me, for a teenager to spend on a car ... but it's up to you, it's your money. I'd start by browsing cars for sale, and make a list of the features and options that are important to me; compare the available cars based on those features and the price, and after a while you'll get a good feel for what is a good deal, and what's not.

Also be aware, the prices these days are quite high for used cars. I don't know when this bubble will burst, but they always do; so you might want to take your time.

Ok thank you so much! Like I said I’m still saving and I’m always looking at the market so I will definitely take my time!

Another thought/suggestion: Google "XXXX Ford Mustang Brochure" for the years you are interested. You should be able to find downloadable PDF files with the full sales brochure content. The brochures will tell you what were the available option packages for those years.
…and the ORDERING GUIDE for each year of interest, there’s a wealth of detail, especially the initial pages that tell you the changes, what is no-more and what is new for that model year, if you find yourself looking all of a sudden for a particular color or option you will know which model years you need to ‘chase down’.
Good luck, this is an exciting venture you’re on!
