Help! No power. I turned the key and heard a noise and most of the power went out. Still had power to driver seat and moved it back to get at fuse box. Tried the key again and lost power to seat. Only power remaining is the thief light. 1999 V6 no power. I will be checking the fuses, any other sugguests are welcome.

get a volt meter and check the battery for a charge. Sounds like a dead battery to me. If so recharge your battery and let the car run, with the same volt emter check the battery again, the volts should not drop below 14.4, if it does and starts to drop towards 0, then your alternator is shot and needs to be replaced. Usually a battery can run your car for what is it like 4 hours?
