Has anyone lowered their car to improve handling? What would you guys recommend to use for lowering the car?

I would recommend Eibach & H&R forsure!, ford also carries some springs.
Ive ran eibach's on all my cars in the past & still some currently..no problems..great ride!:bigthumbsup

do you think that if i just purchase springs that will be sufficient? How much roughly do you think the installation would be?

I have the ford racing lowering springs that supposedly drop it "1.25 all around. I love the ride, much stiffer but didn't completely kill the comfortable ride.

I have the steeda sport and Koni srt combo as well. Huge
Improvement and still very drivable and not scraping the bottom
Of my car. Depending on how much of a drop you are looking to
Get the stock struts and shocks probably won't last long so
If you can you're better off upgrading now and doing the fronts once.

We sell the Eibach Pro springs at UPR and there is a discount for forum members. You'll need to get the car aligned after lowering it, and you may not need any camber correction, but I would strongly recommend for you to install an adjustable pan hard bar to correct the rear axle offset after you lower the vehicle.

I am still trying to decide between the Steeda Streets and the FRPP N springs. Looks like some have used both here. Can anyone speak to a comparison? If you have either, what do you think of the look and the ride? I am installing on a yet-to-be-delivered 2012 V6 Premium Vert.

Looks good! did you just change the spings alone? If so, did it improve the handling?

I did springs, Koni, strano sway bars, gt500 mounts, and
Gt500 tires with nitto 555's all at once. I wanted to put together
My own set up similar to the ford handling kit. Dramatic change and
Still drivable everyday. A little rougher than stock but not jarring over
Bumps.

What's the least dramatic lowering spring? For ride harshness that is.

Thanks Vinced76! That is a good look, perfect stance imo. That is approximately the same drop the N Springs give and I am looking at the entire FRPP Handling pkg. which includes GT500 struts/shocks, mounts and sway bars. I think I am sticking with the Pony Pkg 18" wheels but going to a 255/45ZR18 tire. So, my look should end up similar. Possibly a bit lower with the vert. as she is heavier in the a$$ end than your coupe. Still up in the air on those springs though. It would be great if someone out there had experience with both the Steedas and the FRPPs to give me a comparison.

Do some research on the ford kit. I believe you can piece your own
Kit together with better parts. My sway bars have 3 adjustments
And are hollow so they same weight. I got everything for around$950 not
Including the wheels and tires. Check sway bar figments some will

I was trying to get the fitment info, even called Ford Racing, they could not tell me why it says "coupe only" Where did you find that info? Yeah, I shopped a bit and did not find a way to get the whole kit that low, even getting them from other manufacturers. I found the whole kit for 1099.99 on line and plan to resell the STB as the Vert will have the GT version already and i like that one.

Bracing in the way. Also as you stated earlier the vert is heavier
So the spring and shock ratings may not be ideal for a convert.
I know for older fox and sn95 mustangs some companies make springs

Call a couple vendors onthis site and talk to them. By the way

Vinced76, where did you get your Konis and which ones are you running? I have been more than happy with my dbl adjustable coil overs on my 2000 vert, but they have really gone up in price in the last 11 years!

Yep, that's a good price. Looks like the best one out there is $465.54 for all 4 now. Seriously thinking of going that direction instead of FRPP for them. Still can't decide between the Sport and the Ultralites for the springs. Will add the Steeda adj Panhard Bar too to make sure the rear alignment can be corrected.
