Lowering with/Keene Bell charger and 20's

I pulled my wheels off and noticed wear on the front inner side of the tires and figure its due to extra weight of supercharger, car only has 20K miles and is an 2006 GT convertibile. I am installing a set of AR Rebel 20" wheels with 265/35/20 installed all 4 sides. What lowering kit springs would be recommended to even the car out as it sits much higher in the rear now.I have read were some will cut a coil off the aftermarket rear springs to even things out in the rear. At first I was just going to cut the stock rear springs ...but with the 20" wheels it needs to drop in front also. Will I need a camber/caster kit and adjustaible panhard bar? Anyone have a set of springs they want to sell? Thanks!

alright i would say get a BMR panhard bar. make sure its adjustable and while ur at it u might as well get the brace that goes along with it. As far as CC plates get Maximum motorsports. not completely sure about springs but i think the bmr ones are the best cuz they're rate is matched to the factory shocks so u wont have issues with shocks bottoming out all the time.

I will say that i do not and have not dealt with these parts but another member of the forum has talked to me and many others about what would be the ideal things to use and he seems to know his stuff although he will tell u otherwise. his username is Sqidd so just pm him if u have more questions and he will be more than happy to help u man.

Good luck with ur mods man

Those should not rub at all, even if the car is sitting on the bumpstops. What offset are those rims?

Def don't cut coils, that's old school. I have Steeda Ultralite lowering springs and other suspension mods you can see in my sig, no rubbing or anything. Proper rims is worth a lot :bigthumbsup
Your tires are wearing uneven because you need an alignment, not because of the weight of the supercharger. And installing springs will make it worse...so plan on getting an alignment after.
I have the KB and I also lowered and did 20" wheels. I used Steeda Ultralights, and have a 35mm offset on the wheels running 255/35/20 all around. The panhard bar is not necessary unless you are going to a wider back tire that will come closer to the lip of the fender. I do have an adjustable one on mine but because of the 255's it wouldn't be noticeable if one side was not the same as the other. On a 285, 295, or 305, the tire will start to stick out of the fender well, and a panhard bar becomes important.

As for the camber bolts, I highly recommend buying them and then have it aligned after the springs are installed. You obviously need an alignment anyway, and being as I have seen 2" drops on these cars with no front tire rub, the only reasons for rubbing would be an improperly installed fender well or the wrong offset on the wheel. Chances are, the wear is due to bad alignment. The camber bolts will help, even with the 3/4" drop of the Steeda springs.
