MAC long tube header clearance

Hey,
I'm installing a true dual exhaust on my '85 GT (manual). My MAC long tubes are proving difficult on the passenger's side. Any tips on getting the flange past the starter?

remove the starter..........put your header in, bolt it up, then from under the car, reinstall your starter....

Might as well try it, but the starter doesn't seem to be coming into play...it's the starter flange on the bell housing that is the immediate problem. I'm wondering if I should just loosen the motor and move it over to the driver's side a bit. What do you think?
if that is what you are running into, by all means, remove the large bolt's on the motor mounts, use a small piece of 2x4 on the balancer and jack up the motor.....that should give you the clearance you will need for sure.......

Yep, I'll try that...but I'm gonna hang it up for tonight. Thanks Wyoming.
