I traded for a 67 Mustang that has a 351 c. The 2 center bolt hole on teac side of the intake does not have any bolts and it does not seem to be bolt holes lineing up in the head.
This is a Edelbrock intake. Do you think its the wrong intake? Do you think they may have put gasket on wrong. I could pull it off but thought I'd ask advise from yall first.
Thanks

Hello Buddy,
The 2 center holes should have bolts in them.
Here is a picture I had marked up for another forum reply
but it will give you an idea.

Buddy, it should have bolts there.

Another great - important tip.

Watch the base gasket for the carb. YOu need to have a thick solid
base gasket that covers the cross-over channel or you will get a leak. Your intake may not have the cross-over channel. It depends on the intake.

I know this motor. I have owned our 70 Mach 351c for over 30 years. Do not use a phenolic spacer either. They will give you a vacuum leak also.

I would be glad to send you numbers etc if you need some more help.

For now - - I would try to see if there is a number on the intake.

If possible could you post a picture.

Another tip - - -make sure you use the correct valley pan for your heads (2 or 4 barrel heads).

Also - -if you pull the intake - - DO NOT be nervous when you see the oil passage near the dizzy. It may look like it was ripped or broke. This is normal and an ODD
casting from Ford.

You have a great motor - - if I can help please post or PM.

351 C intake

Here is a picture of the intake with the numbers, If you can tell me for sure what motor this is i'd appreciate it, I was told it came out of a 72 mustang 351 C. All the other intake bolts are angled but the 2 in the center on the intake are straight. If I need another intake what do you suggest?
Thanks
Buddy
