I own a 2003 mach 1 mustang with manual transmission. When my care is running there is a constant squeaking noise. When im in neutral it gets louder but soon as i press down the clutch just a little is gets much more softer. Shifting is still fine but i would like to know if anybody might have a clue what exactly it could be.

it's your throwout bearing...time for a new one, make sure you use a genuine Ford replacement

Might as well go ahead with the clutch to while you are in there I would advise it expecially if your not doing it your self once you do it a few times you will learn that pulling the tranny is not really all that bad I can have it out clutch changed and back in about 3 hours if I got a cold beer that is lol.
